What’s
this, another website about Las Vegas?
You may be asking
yourself the question: WHY?
The
answer is simple. Vegas Inside
Tips contains the coolest, most exclusive information and
articles, news, celebrity interviews, backstage chats and little-known
INSIDE TIPS, presented by people in the know. And you can’t
find this valuable info anywhere else.
It all began in 1999, when we created the first web portal, magicwebchannel.com whose mission statement at the time was to create the largest information portal for the world of magic, with researched links, interesting content, information about magic shows, events, magicians and resources for the amateur and professional magic community, including an online magic school. It started when the Internet was in its infancy. The site went "live" on July 1, 2000 and has been online continuously ever since.
One section of magicwebchannel.com was called "Vegas Inside Tips". It featured a small calendar of events and magic shows and an occasional article spotlighting an entertainer or show. Fast forward 8 years later and here we are.
We expanded the Vegas Inside Tips section into a whole new web site, one that focuses on Vegas as a destination and center of the entertainment universe. And since we went online as a stand alone site, our visitors have grown beyond our wildest expectations, and continue to grow every day.
Our
team is made up of people who actually
live here in Las Vegas, many of them for decades, so we have developed
a solid base of information to draw from. Our show business connections
are deep, beginning with the top veteran journalists and entertainment writers in the business; Frank Lieberman, Jackie Brett and Norm Johnson. all of whom enjoy
strong personal connections to scores of celebrities from the worlds
of television, stage and screen. Their insights and unprecedented
access to the entertainment world provides us with in-depth stories
and interviews that can only be found here. Then there's the one and only Monti Rock III, a legend in everyone's mind, plus Las Vegas Wineau and Foodie, Author and Chef and Radio Host, Les Kincaid with food and wine info.
In
addition, our editor and “web host”, Steve
Dacri, has been a professional entertainer for over
35 years, as a writer and director for television and print, and his experience on stage and television assures that
he is another true “Insider” who brings his observations
and friendships into play each week as we assemble our collection
of “Inside Tips” and Best
Bets for Las Vegas visitors and residents alike.
Our newest edition is the one and only foodie, Les Kincaid, author and wine expert, who writes best selling cookbooks and hosts a syndicated radio show on food and wine. Rounding
out the staff is a group of seasoned writers who have been covering
the Vegas scene for years, including Barbara Nosek, Debby Hall and others. They share the goal of Vegas Inside Tips
- to make your visits to our website enjoyable and informative.
