POOLS IN VEGAS = NIGHTCLUBS WITH WATER

As the desert heat rolls into Las Vegas, the Palms makes a splash with the addition of three new reasons to celebrate poolside. N9Group continues to raise the bar by offering revelers a pool lounge every Friday and Saturday night, a monthly nighttime event known as Skinny Dip and Sun Dance, a party Sunday afternoons.  The poolside playground known as Ditch Fridays also returns with its action-packed parties.

Ditch Fridays --

Known for making Las Vegas a hotbed of truancy for the summer months, Ditch Fridays arrives May 7 for its fourth season featuring a special performance by hip-hop music icon Sean Paul.  Originally created as a way to start the weekend early, Ditch Fridays provides an excuse for many locals to skip work, unwind and hang out poolside.  In addition, “ditchers” spotted drinking Miller Lite will receive a wristband, which is worth three complimentary Miller Lites, as well as access to the VIP area’s private pool and bar.  Ditch is open noon – 7 p.m. and admission is $25 (local ladies are free).

Friday and Saturday Nighttime Pool Lounge --

Palms Pool & Bungalows will feature a relaxing nighttime pool lounge at 11 p.m. every Friday and Saturday. Las Vegas’ hottest movers and shakers will indulge in a sexy, swank and sophisticated atmosphere which will feature hypnotic music and cocktails offered at three of the pool bars.  DJ Scotty Boy heats up the scene with his popular beats from 11 p.m.-2 a.m. Fridays and DJ Zen Freeman will spin on the turntables from 11 p.m. - 2 a.m. Saturdays.  Cover charge is $30 per person and includes access into Rain Nightclub.

            Sun Dance --

There’s no better way to party this summer than at Sun Dance, premiering May 9, a music-driven weekly event sponsored by Miller Genuine Draft.  Featuring sounds by resident DJ Scotty Boy, Sun Dance invites everyone to engage in the unique musical experience from noon to 7 p.m. every Sunday.

Skinny Dip --

Featuring national DJ talent, Skinny Dip, debuting May 18, entices partygoers to dive in under the moon light with a monthly party from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.  Heating up the turntables during Skinny Dip’s debut is reality star and New Jersey’s favorite DJ, Pauly D.  Following each event, guests are then encouraged to join the after-party inside Moon Nightclub during their weekly Bang Tuesday event.

Palms Pool Café invites guests to indulge in its thirst-quenching libations and mouth-watering cuisine.  Specialty cocktails include the refreshing Frozen Mango Mimosa, Sweet Tea Sensation and Fire and Ice Cocktail.  An extensive bottle service menu is also available to patrons.

The food menu features items such as: fish tacos, featuring three tortillas with crispy tilapia, tomatillos, avocado and chipotle sauce; chopped turkey wedge, with fresh turkey, tomatoes, egg, crisp bacon and ranch dressing; blue cheese fries with scallions; and tuna melt classic with white albacore tuna, aged cheddar cheese and griddled sourdough.  Located next to the Little Buddha restaurant patio, Palms Pool Café will open late April and operate during regular pool hours.

Committed to offering unrivaled customer service, premium entertainment and a stunning atmosphere, Palms Pool & Bungalows is also home to Las Vegas’ first and only solar-powered DJ booth, which was unveiled in April 2009 during an Earth Day celebration.  The DJ booth, built by Sustainable Waves, uses Sharp solar panels to capture power directly from the pool deck and Outback inverters to convert the sun’s energy into 110 volts of electricity to rock the pool.  The DJ booth is just one way that N9Group and other partners are pioneering creative strategies to address the threat of global warming.

  REHAB WAS NEVER LIKE THIS

Poolside glamour rules as the preeminent “daylife” experience, REHAB, the world famous Sunday pool party, returns to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for an unprecedented seventh season.

The 2010 season of REHAB opened with A-list celebrities and some of the music industry’s biggest acts including a performance by Wyclef Jean.  Additionally, the trendsetting property welcomes back TruTV for filming of the third season of its hit series, “REHAB, Party at the Hard Rock Hotel.”  More than 4,000 partygoers will travel from around the world to attend this premiere pool party each weekend, making it one of the largest entertainment destinations in Las Vegas.

Each year, the property’s signature pool party continues to grow and evolve.  In 2009, REHAB generated record breaking revenues -- 30 percent more than 2008.  This season promises to be even more successful with rooms at capacity for opening weekend and cabana reservations sold out.

Named one of the top-10 pools in the world by the Travel Channel and one of Tripadvisor’s top-10 sexiest hotels in the US, REHAB will continue to offer 50 poolside cabanas that include 42-inch HD plasma TVs and poolside spa service options courtesy of Reliquary, the Hard Rock’s new spa and water sanctuary.

REHAB is three acres of tropical paradise with Caribbean-blue water sandy beaches, top-notch food and beverage service from the Hard Rock Beach Club, and the popular “swim-up” blackjack tables.  In addition, guests will enjoy Rock Star Lemonades as they party to world-famous DJs including DJ Vice and DJ Irie.

REHAB happens every Sunday through September. Hours are 11 a.m. until sunset. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for cabana guests.  Cover charges vary based on holidays and special events, but generally $40 for men, $20 for women.  This season, lucky local ladies are admitted for no cover.  Rehab patrons will also enjoy a separate valet near the pool entrance for easy access. Cabanas are in high-demand, so those interested should book early by contacting the REHAB hotline at 702-693-5555.
