What’s this, another website about Las Vegas?

You may be asking yourself the question: WHY?

The answer is simple. Vegas Inside Tips contains the coolest, most exclusive information and articles, news, celebrity interviews, backstage chats and little-known INSIDE TIPS, presented by people in the know. And you can’t find this valuable info anywhere else.

It all began in 1999, when we created the first web portal, magicwebchannel.com whose mission statement at the time was to create the largest information portal for the world of magic, with researched links, interesting content, information about magic shows, events, magicians and resources for the amateur and professional magic community, including an online magic school. It started when the Internet was in its infancy. The site went "live" on July 1, 2000 and has been online continuously ever since.

One section of magicwebchannel.com was called "Vegas Inside Tips". It featured a small calendar of events and magic shows and an occasional article spotlighting an entertainer or show. Fast forward 8 years later and here we are.

We expanded the Vegas Inside Tips section into a whole new web site, one that focuses on Vegas as a destination and center of the entertainment universe. And since we went online as a stand alone site, our visitors have grown beyond our wildest expectations, and continue to grow every day.

Our team is made up of people who actually live here in Las Vegas, many of them for decades, so we have developed a solid base of information to draw from. Our show business connections are deep, beginning with the top veteran journalists and entertainment writers in the business; Frank Lieberman, Jackie Brett and Norm Johnson. all of whom enjoy strong personal connections to scores of celebrities from the worlds of television, stage and screen. Their insights and unprecedented access to the entertainment world provides us with in-depth stories and interviews that can only be found here. Then there's the one and only Monti Rock III, a legend in everyone's mind, plus Las Vegas Wineau and Foodie, Author and Chef and Radio Host, Les Kincaid with food and wine info.

In addition, our editor and “web host”, Steve Dacri, has been a professional entertainer for over 35 years, as a writer and director for television and print, and his experience on stage and television assures that he is another true “Insider” who brings his observations and friendships into play each week as we assemble our collection of “Inside Tips” and Best Bets for Las Vegas visitors and residents alike.

Our newest edition is the one and only foodie, Les Kincaid, author and wine expert, who writes best selling cookbooks and hosts a syndicated radio show on food and wine. Rounding out the staff is a group of seasoned writers who have been covering the Vegas scene for years, including Barbara Nosek, Debby Hall and others. They share the goal of Vegas Inside Tips - to make your visits to our website enjoyable and informative.

I invite you to subscribe now, while it's free. The subscription option is available to everyone, and although not required to use this site, we urge you to take ten seconds and subscribe. Subscribers receive advance notice of special events, lots of free goodies, discounted show tickets, restaurant coupons, access to a huge library of downloadable entertainment programming (TV shows, short films, movies, music, games, etc.), and many other features, and it's all free.

We hope you will add us to your online places to visit on a regular basis, and we welcome your feedback. Tell us what you like (and dislike) so we may continue to enhance and expand Vegas Inside Tips in order to create one of the greatest destination websites covering Las Vegas.

Thanks for visiting,
Your Vegas Inside Tips Team

NOTE: This is an archived version of the site from 2011. The "old" site was active between 2009-2012. We have reconstitued some of the archived content for this page for nostalgic reasons. Now there are lots of sites online that can give you Las Vegas Tips, but there will never be another site quite like VegasInsideTips.

There is a big world out there in the gambling land of casinos. Every day, a huge number of players are ready to have some fun with a chance of hitting the jackpot. Although VIT does not provide a carefully curated list to check out each casino they do offer excellent advice for any player game enough to try for one of the hundreds of available jackpots and bonuses in the casinos or on the casino sites. Reading their guidance on slot machines, video slots and other casino games have shown me that there is a variety of choice money games where the spins have plenty more payouts for gamblers who know their options. They pointed me to one great reference in particular. Sometimes is just a matter of knowing the important bonus option that lead to the best types of winnings. And I've learned to pay attention to the gameplay for the best experience on any online slots games, especially money slots. Thanks for the education, VIT! I've learned a lot and am having much more fun when I place my bet as a result.

POOLS IN VEGAS = NIGHTCLUBS WITH WATER

As the desert heat rolls into Las Vegas, the Palms makes a splash with the addition of three new reasons to celebrate poolside. N9Group continues to raise the bar by offering revelers a pool lounge every Friday and Saturday night, a monthly nighttime event known as Skinny Dip and Sun Dance, a party Sunday afternoons.  The poolside playground known as Ditch Fridays also returns with its action-packed parties.

Ditch Fridays --

Known for making Las Vegas a hotbed of truancy for the summer months, Ditch Fridays arrives May 7 for its fourth season featuring a special performance by hip-hop music icon Sean Paul.  Originally created as a way to start the weekend early, Ditch Fridays provides an excuse for many locals to skip work, unwind and hang out poolside.
And we know who you are. We also know there is at least one team of highly focused members working over at the Bellagio putting into place a new iteration of Salesforce that has made a seismic shift from on-premise technologies to cloud computing. We heard from a little birdie that Salesforce crm application development offers a huge advantage, empowering custom applications. Consequently it can deliverfaster business value for lower infrastructure costs, although the Bellagio doesn't seem to be hurting. Salesforce services can help increase productivity and improve customer satisfaction so that's definitely a good thing. When you are finished come on over and we'll show you some hospitality, Las Vegas style!
If you like beer, “ditchers” spotted drinking Miller Lite will receive a wristband, which is worth three complimentary Miller Lites, as well as access to the VIP area’s private pool and bar.  Ditch is open noon – 7 p.m. and admission is $25 (local ladies are free).

Friday and Saturday Nighttime Pool Lounge --

Palms Pool & Bungalows will feature a relaxing nighttime pool lounge at 11 p.m. every Friday and Saturday. Las Vegas’ hottest movers and shakers will indulge in a sexy, swank and sophisticated atmosphere which will feature hypnotic music and cocktails offered at three of the pool bars.  DJ Scotty Boy heats up the scene with his popular beats from 11 p.m.-2 a.m. Fridays and DJ Zen Freeman will spin on the turntables from 11 p.m. - 2 a.m. Saturdays.  Cover charge is $30 per person and includes access into Rain Nightclub.

Sun Dance --

There’s no better way to party this summer than at Sun Dance, premiering May 9, a music-driven weekly event sponsored by Miller Genuine Draft.  Featuring sounds by resident DJ Scotty Boy, Sun Dance invites everyone to engage in the unique musical experience from noon to 7 p.m. every Sunday.

Skinny Dip --

Featuring national DJ talent, Skinny Dip, debuting May 18, entices partygoers to dive in under the moon light with a monthly party from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.  Heating up the turntables during Skinny Dip’s debut is reality star and New Jersey’s favorite DJ, Pauly D.  Following each event, guests are then encouraged to join the after-party inside Moon Nightclub during their weekly Bang Tuesday event.

Palms Pool Café invites guests to indulge in its thirst-quenching libations and mouth-watering cuisine.  Specialty cocktails include the refreshing Frozen Mango Mimosa, Sweet Tea Sensation and Fire and Ice Cocktail.  An extensive bottle service menu is also available to patrons.

The food menu features items such as: fish tacos, featuring three tortillas with crispy tilapia, tomatillos, avocado and chipotle sauce; chopped turkey wedge, with fresh turkey, tomatoes, egg, crisp bacon and ranch dressing; blue cheese fries with scallions; and tuna melt classic with white albacore tuna, aged cheddar cheese and griddled sourdough.  Located next to the Little Buddha restaurant patio, Palms Pool Café will open late April and operate during regular pool hours.

Committed to offering unrivaled customer service, premium entertainment and a stunning atmosphere, Palms Pool & Bungalows is also home to Las Vegas’ first and only solar-powered DJ booth, which was unveiled in April 2009 during an Earth Day celebration.  The DJ booth, built by Sustainable Waves, uses Sharp solar panels to capture power directly from the pool deck and Outback inverters to convert the sun’s energy into 110 volts of electricity to rock the pool.  The DJ booth is just one way that N9Group and other partners are pioneering creative strategies to address the threat of global warming.

REHAB WAS NEVER LIKE THIS

Poolside glamour rules as the preeminent “daylife” experience, REHAB, the world famous Sunday pool party, returns to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for an unprecedented seventh season.

The 2010 season of REHAB opened with A-list celebrities and some of the music industry’s biggest acts including a performance by Wyclef Jean.  Additionally, the trendsetting property welcomes back TruTV for filming of the third season of its hit series, “REHAB, Party at the Hard Rock Hotel.”  More than 4,000 partygoers will travel from around the world to attend this premiere pool party each weekend, making it one of the largest entertainment destinations in Las Vegas.

Each year, the property’s signature pool party continues to grow and evolve.  In 2009, REHAB generated record breaking revenues -- 30 percent more than 2008.  This season promises to be even more successful with rooms at capacity for opening weekend and cabana reservations sold out.

Named one of the top-10 pools in the world by the Travel Channel and one of Tripadvisor’s top-10 sexiest hotels in the US, REHAB will continue to offer 50 poolside cabanas that include 42-inch HD plasma TVs and poolside spa service

options courtesy of Reliquary, the Hard Rock’s new spa and water sanctuary.

REHAB is three acres of tropical paradise with Caribbean-blue water sandy beaches, top-notch food and beverage service from the Hard Rock Beach Club, and the popular “swim-up” blackjack tables.  In addition, guests will enjoy Rock Star Lemonades as they party to world-famous DJs including DJ Vice and DJ Irie.

REHAB happens every Sunday through September. Hours are 11 a.m. until sunset. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for cabana guests.  Cover charges vary based on holidays and special events, but generally $40 for men, $20 for women.  This season, lucky local ladies are admitted for no cover.  Rehab patrons will also enjoy a separate valet near the pool entrance for easy access. Cabanas are in high-demand, so those interested should book early by contacting the REHAB hotline at 702-693-5555.
